Mystery Reader Gallery 2019-2020
Mrs. Carhide, Gracelyn's mom, was our first MYSTERY READER this year. On Tuesday, October 29th, she read us the story, Pick a Pumpkin,by Patricia Toht. This beautiful picture book took us on an adventure to a pumpkin patch where we saw awesome fall sights and a family selected a pumpkin to carve. The family made a wonderful jack-o-lantern and they also took us through their neighborhood as they went trick or treating. Thank you for a wonderful story and a fun treat bag.
Miss Meagan Mann was our Mystery Reader on Friday, November 1st. Reagan's, Aunt Meagan, read us the story, SAM and the Firefly by P.D. Eastman. This was a wonderful story about two friends, an owl and a firefly who travel together at night. These nocturnal animals soar through the air writing words at night. We loved when Gus saved the day at the end of the story. Thank you for visiting our classroom Aunt Meagan.
Miabella's mom, Mrs. Muniz, was our Mystery Reader on November 22nd and read, Just a Special Thanksgiving by Mercer Mayer. We loved hearing this story about Little Critter's Thanksgiving play and how his family prepared for their Thanksgiving feast. Thank you for sharing this book with us!
Eli's Aunt Sue, was our Mystery Reader on December 6th, 2019. Aunt Sue read the story, Hibernation Station, to us. We loved learning all about animals in winter. This book helped us learn the names of the animals who hibernate (sleep) during the winter. Thank you Aunt Sue for reading to us and bringing us animal fruit snacks and colorful holiday pens. We are so fortunate to have such caring adults in our lives!!
Victoria's, Uncle Tom, was our Mystery Reader on December 13, 2019. He read the book, Annie and the Wild Animals, by Jan Brett. We loved seeing all of the beautiful wild animal illustrations in this book. We were especially happy when Taffy the cat reappeared at the end of the story with three new kittens. THANK YOU for reading to us Uncle Tom!
